Running The Rift?
I made a remark in the Faces of Landroval Facebook group about leading a raid through East Angmar to the Rift of Nurz Gahshu, just to give a little tour of the area and show off the landscape. It got a lot of enthusiastic response and now people are talking about actually running the Rift of Nurz Ghashu RAID instance! I'd love to do that, though I'm not that well acquainted with the mechanics of the fights themselves (I'll be happy to read up on them though!). So, when and if Mythgard wants to schedule a Rift run, I'll be there and will try to rally some of the Knights of the White Lady to the cause if we need more bodies in the raid. Just be aware that it is a LONG instance and best scheduled on a weekend, starting in the early afternoon at least, especially since some of us will want to take the time to read all the text and really take in the sights along the way. Also there will be a bit of set up time involved for those around level 50-60 to make sure they're well-equipped with plenty of potions, salves and food.
So, discuss, and in the meantime read up on the fun here: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/The_Rift_of_N%C3%BBrz_Gh%C3%A2shu
I will set up a time in early February and alert my kinship (www.kwl.guildlaunch.com) as well. I'll also study up on the fights and strategy since we'll probably have plenty of on-level characters and won't be able to overpower through the thing. It will probably be on a Sunday and start earlier in the day since it is a long raid instance. I will post the event on my kinship's website Calendar and post updates here so Mythgard can also put it up.
UPDATE: I have schedule the raid for Sunday the 15th of February. That'll give us plenty of time to prepare and recruit participants. The KWL Calendar post is here: http://bit.ly/1tVEvD1
I would really love to be a part of this.
How does one "sign up" for it?
I Have a only one of my lvl 100 toons in Mythguard, but I have a lvl 50 Guard that I also used disablers with, (with some of my kin mates) in order to run this kind of content "on level". Sadly My kin has recently been feeling the lack of new raid/group content, and many have left to play other games. So I have this guard all set to go do Rift, but not enough to make a viable group, unless some of my kin brought some lvl 100's along, and that would have made the point of running this "on level" moot.

You sign up by putting a bug in your kin leader to put a mirror event up on your site's Calendar. :) Then, we kin leaders will combine our sign up lists and see who else shows up on the day.
As for running this on-level, that was never my intention. Higher level characters are certainly welcome. This event is mainly to show off the Rift raid and the extreme eastern end of Angmar to anyone who hasn't yet experienced it (and to provide some Eldgang rep for those who want it).
Well then, I am still up for this and will bring any toon that ya think ya might need.... now to find my jar of bugs....
If this is still an ongoing concern, I would be interested in participating mostly because I've never done any of the raids in the game despite having been playing since closed beta! I have a range of levels of alts, so I could either bring someone in the 90s or someone in the 50s or early 60s if on-level is preferred.
Thanks!
(My main in-game is Ialuine, just FYI)
